What was the hardest part of building your startup?

Not sharing my idea with everyone. I am a very passionate person and when I am excited I want to share my ideas with the world. The only problem with that is there are a lot of people (who may love you and mean well), but they will tell you all the reasons why it can’t happen and how much of a long shot it is. You don’t need that self doubt getting in your head. I suggest only sharing your ideas with those you know will lift you up and keep you focused on your dream. When there is no doubt that you are succeeding, then you can share it with everyone.

If you could go back in time and give your younger self advice, what would it be?

I would tell myself to lighten up and not be so tough on myself. You are going to take different turns during your journey and make some decisions that you think at the time are great, but really didn't serve you well. Guess what? You can’t get it wrong. It is how you grow, learn and experience life. There are so many ways to be a successful entrepreneur, find your way.

If you were to get a tattoo, what would it be and why?

I would get a dragonfly. They symbolize transformation and I believe we are all capable of dramatic change. No matter what you were like in the past - it doesn’t have to define your future. Whatever you did or didn’t do in college is done, you can create the life you always wanted right now.
