Spotlight on Neha Raman
Meet Neha Raman: Founder and CEO of a new beauty app 'TrueTone', TLC finalist, and dog enthusiast who is manifesting her childhood dreams.
What were your ambitions when you were younger, and what are they now? How have they changed?
When I was younger, I didn't even know what an entrepreneur was. I just knew that I was different. I never saw myself falling into a job and had so many different interests. It's funny because when I was younger I used to joke that I would be famous someday, and at 22 I have started 3 different businesses, been on a national TV show, and been featured in various articles. I don't think my ambitions have changed as much, as I still have many of the same interests, but some new ones now. It's crazy how your childhood dreams can manifest.
How do you prioritize self-care?
I think it's incredibly important to prioritize self care especially when you're in the startup space. So much of what we do as entrepreneurs is always go, go, go but it is so important to know when to give yourself breathing space. For me, I know what working style works best for me so I know when to slow down if things are getting too chaotic. I also think it's important to find what works well for your self-care regimen. For some people its meditation, or yoga, but for me its music.
What do you want to be remembered for?
I want to leave a legacy behind. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to do that yet, but I know I want to leave something impactful behind. Ideally, I would love to have a successful business under my belt and get into philanthropy too. We'll see where life takes me.
