What inspired you to get into your line of work?

I was a Food Biochemistry Major for the first three years of my academic career. I hated it because I realized that the best case scenario was that I would end up working as a QA tester in some factory in the middle of nowhere working for a company. I realized that I was fascinated by technology and that it was the field that I wanted to be in for the long haul. I switched my major to Environmental Science and built my first app over the course of the following summer.

What are your best hacks for productivity?

I try to be aware of when I'm burning out or at least need a break from a particular workload. Though it's likely due to ADHD, I've come to realize that many points when I know that I work to code effectively are perfect moments to work on things such as emails and site content.

What does your morning routine look like?

5:15-5:45 Wake up between
6-7 Breakfast, Coffee, and a Study with a Documentary or Podcast on in the background
7-9 Workout/Meditate
9:30 Online

The purpose is to wake oneself up mentally and physically, as well as to attempt to push one's limits at the beginning of the day.

Fave Film: Either Lawrence of Arabia or The Godfather 1 and 2 watched back to back. Both are great films that can be called works of art, but they're different enough.
Sunday afternoon nirvana: Testing Recipes and tasting wine for my blog (chicagofoodguys.com 'still in development')
Best trip I ever took: The Forbes under 30 conference in Boston back in 2017. Everything that could've gone wrong on that trip went wrong, but the conversations that were had were some of the most enjoyable of my life.
