What inspired you to get into your line of work?

I have always looked up to women making a difference in business and beyond. I am from a small town in Kentucky originally, and I always felt a huge disconnect between where those I looked up to where and where I stood. As I jumped into digital media more and more, I realized how much it leveled the playing field and elevated my voice. Social media specifically changed the trajectory of my life and career. I created my company because I want to bring that same elevation to all women working to create change. Life has taught me we rise together. Leia Rising allows me to help hundreds of women to do that daily throughout memberships, events, and resources.

No matter where or who you are, there is a call on your life to create change. It is there with a purpose. I am here to level the playing field.

If you could go back in time and give your younger self advice, what would it be?

Stop thinking, go. The most formational lessons I have learned came from doing, not studying. They always will. Being an entrepreneur is challenging. There are incredible moments and challenging ones. When taking this path, you need to learn action speaks the most - in lessons, business, and growth. Everyone has ideas, few people have activation. Nobody can take your hard work away from you. So, what are you waiting for? Go.

What are your top strategies for networking?

Be genuine, and add value. The more you can bring to the table for others, the better you can show who you are. Your character is far more powerful than your business card.
