Position: Social Media Manager

Location: New Rochelle, NY

Reporting to: Director of Social Media


Steiner Sports is seeking an experienced social media expert with a passion for sports to join its social media team. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of social media strategies that create engagement, build the Steiner Sports brand and drive multi-channel traffic and sales, in addition to similar responsibilities for the company CEO. 

The ideal candidate will work with internal and external partners to plan, manage, and develop new social media content for use across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, Periscope, Vine, Pinterest, and Google+ and has specific copywriting/blogging experience.

Day-to-Day Community Management
Responsible for the execution of social media communications strategy through content development, calendar planning, and building relationships with internal and external partners. Manage the daily voice of Steiner Sports in social media.

Social Media Monitoring, Analytics & Reporting
Utilize social media monitoring tools to develop actionable brand, category, product and competitive insights, as well as recommendations to assist with program/content build out and customer experience in social. Develop, compile and distribute weekly and monthly social media reporting. Work with analytics team to report on traffic and conversion data.

Collaborate with Director of Social Media to assist in the development of social media strategies and tactics, including: brand-building initiatives, influencer programs, channel budget, paid media, best practices to accelerate performance and identify new opportunities.

CEO Brand Development 
Act as primary contact for the day-to-day administration and execution of the CEO’s brand-building initiatives, including blog writing, video filming and editing, podcast recording, website maintenance and social media content management, among other responsibilities.


  • 1-2 years of experience working in social media for a brand or agency.
  • Bachelor’s degree with major in marketing, advertising, communications or a related field.
  • Possess a strong understanding of all social platforms and relevant industry trends.
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and work independently.
  • Experience capturing photo and video content and editing with Photoshop and Final Cut Pro.
  • HTML/CSS knowledge a plus.
