Founded in 2015 with the mission to “demystify sleep,” Sleepopolis has since become the leading online resource for all things related to slumber. Whether it be an in-depth product review or a highly researched piece on insomnia, our original written and video content is meant to inform and empower our audience with all the knowledge they need to improve the quality of their Zzz’s.
Sleepopolis is a JAKK media company, which owns and operates multiple web brands that specialize in producing quality content in the highly trafficked search areas of Fitness, Security, and, of course, Sleep.
Sleepopolis seeks a curious, driven, and passionate staff writer to join its growing team.
As a Staff Writer for Sleepopolis, you’ll:
-Write ultra-informative mattress and other sleep product reviews. This will be your main responsibility and will require a voice that’s knowledgeable, captivating, and fun. These are comprehensive guides, but should be imbued with some personality.
-Contribute weekly content to the Sleepopolis News vertical, which covers all the latest breaking news in sleep. You’ll be responsible for pitching ideas to the Editorial team and seeing those ideas through research and development. Pieces will vary in length/style, and may include listicles, standard news write-ups, interviews, or longform reporting.
-Research various sleep topics. We endeavor to be a multi-faceted resource for our audience, so occasionally develop guides into specific subjects. You may be called upon to learn about these topics, which could involve personal research and/or expert outreach.
-Occasionally appear on camera to discuss products we’ve reviewed.
Please send a resume, cover letter, and at least two recent writing samples to email@example.com.
