Executive Assistant/Manager at Prototype Capital

Job Description

We are looking for an energetic Executive Assistant to run the daily operations at Prototype Capital. Our Executive Assistant will wear multiple hats. In addition to managing the day to day functions of our office, you will also play a critical role championing company culture and supporting the team’s administrative needs. There will be a myriad of opportunities for you to help both the company and your career grow in this role. Key Responsibilities as our Executive Assistant: 
-Streamline processes to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our office. 
-Be a champion of our company culture! Seek new and exciting ways to make our distributed organization a more vibrant place to work. 
-Serve as primary liaison between the company and management, vendors, and contractors to ensure the org is in good working order at all times, including the purchase and upkeep of necessary items. 
-Manage complex calendars and meeting logistics across multiple time zones. 
-Arrange domestic and international travel, including hotel accommodations, car services, directions, restaurant reservations and preparing detailed itineraries to accompany travel arrangements. 
-Plan, manage and coordinate frequent on-site and off-site meetings and events. 
-Help onboard new employees (administer parking, desk, computer, workstations, etc.). 
-Prepare and edit correspondences, reports, presentations and meeting minutes, and organize and maintain necessary files and records.

What You Bring to the Team: 
-At least 1-3 years of experience as an office manager or executive assistant. 
-Self-motivated, proactive, highly organized and results-oriented. 
-Strong work ethic to execute a variety of administrative projects as the business grows 
-Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency and follow-through. 
-Exceptional customer service and communication skills — you know precisely what to say and how to say it, both online and in-person. 
-A sense of empowerment to resolve your own problems, make decisions, and trust your own good judgment. 
-Commitment to anticipating needs and resolving issues while demonstrating a professional and service-oriented demeanor. 
-Comfort with Apple products, Google Docs, and Office365. 
-Bachelor of Art/Science or college coursework in business administration or related field preferred. 
-Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship required.

Designer in Residence

About the role 
Prototype Capital is looking for a Designer in Residence to boldly challenge the status quo of marketing and product design for us and our portfolio companies. We're looking for someone who can push the boundaries of two-dimensional advertising strategies to design a deeply immersive experience. As an early member to our internal creative team, you will have a significant impact on Prototype Capital’s brand and visual identity.

-Build entire visual campaigns from start to finish and implement across all acquisition channels (impacting 1000’s people each month across digital and physical platforms) 
-Develop longer-term creative strategy for Prototype Capital’s marketing communications 
-Build an extensive repertoire of creative assets for Facebook, Instagram, Email, etc 
-Push the boundaries of advertising and what it means for a company to express itself visually
-Help shape the internal design process 
-Incorporate UI/UX best practices in website design and layout, and adapt designs for mobile formats and responsive design 
-Work cross-functionally with developers, designers, and the Growth team

1-4+ years of experience (in-house or agency) 
Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign 
Experience with Keynote and PowerPoint 
Contemporary aesthetic 
Ability to present and critique designs clearly 
Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
