We exist because, in this digitally connected age, it’s harder than ever to break out of our bubbles, meet new people, and find great people to date.
Perchance is an offline dating experience (this means in-person, not an app!) We host incredible gatherings and create content, intentionally designed to stir up magic -- and spark authentic human connections- Romantic or otherwise…

Perchance is expanding its team and hiring a Marketing and Community Associate. As a member of the Perchance team, you will be joining our small but mighty crew of experience designers, social alchemists, innovators, futurists, technologists and researchers - dedicated to bringing back the magic of meeting in person.
In the Marketing and Community Associate role, you be part of Perchance’s founding team and working alongside our founders to amplify the impact of Perchance nationally.
In this role, prepare for a wide variety of responsibilities and experiences - no two days will ever look quite the same. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and take on big meaningful projects that actually move the needle on the business, this position might be for you. Responsibilities will span across community management, marketing operations and content development, and business and event operations:
Manage all customer communications across channels - email, SMS, social and beyond
Become our resident matchmaker and facilitating the post-event matching process
Assist in our growing our host and producer community through recruitment and training
Execute multi-channel campaigns to drive membership and event sales
Own the updates to the Perchance website
Execute local grassroots marketing initiatives to drive customer acquisition
Learn the Perchance curation formula and support in building event lists
Support event production
Track post-event metrics and own event reporting
This is a 40 hr/week contract position that could turn into full-time salaried role after 3 month trial period. NYC -based applicants preferred.
A recent college graduate who is looking for a fun and challenging first job
Strong writer and editor with the ability to adapt writing to a specific brand voice/tone
Highly organized with attention to detail
Friendly with a customer-centric orientation
Professional and timely, must be able to meet deadlines
Fast learner and self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity and act autonomously
Design-oriented - you have a strong visual sense and experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Experienced with email marketing platforms like Klaviyo or Mailchimp is a plus
Passionate about human connection, relationships, and helping people to connect offline
Intellectual curiosity - genuinely curious about the world, human behavior, and self-improvement
Location: NYC preferred
Compensation: Full-time contract (could lead to salaried position)
