H&M Foundation is looking for game-changers to apply to its Global Change Award to drive innovation and sustainability in the fashion industry. Learn more about the opportunity and how to apply.
About H&M Foundation:
The non-profit H&M Foundation is a lifelong and privately funded commitment from the Stefan Persson family, founders of H&M group. Through partnerships with experienced organizations around the globe, the H&M Foundation aims to accelerate the progress needed to reach the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
The mission of the H&M Foundation is to drive long-lasting positive change and improve living conditions by investing in people, communities and innovative ideas. H&M Foundation works within the areas of Education, Water, Equality, and Planet. In addition to this, we can also provide emergency relief.
H&M Foundation initiated the Global Change Award in 2015, as part of the Foundation’s focus area Planet. The aim is to speed up the process of finding, supporting and scaling up disruptive early-stage innovations that can make the entire fashion industry circular.
The Global Change Award is looking for tomorrow’s game-changers to apply – may it be innovations on digital technologies, how to recover and reuse waste, or ideas supporting a climate positive fashion industry. If the innovation has the potential to make a real impact on a large scale, is economically sustainable and if the team behind the innovation is ready to make it happen – it can be a potential winner. And, if the innovation involves an extra layer of social value, we like it even more.
The Global Change Awards will screen applicants using these guides:
does the idea have the potential of making fashion circular?
what is the level of impact and scalability of the idea?
how economically sustainable is the idea?
how novel is the idea?
how well suited is the team to realize the idea?
would winning the Global Change Award make a difference for the team?
Deadline to Apply: October 16
