About Helen Diller Family Foundation:
The Helen Diller Family Foundation is a supporting foundation of the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund. The Foundation funds the Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards and Diller Teen Fellows program, an international leadership program for Jewish teens. The Foundation has also supported a number of programs and institutions in the Bay Area and throughout the world, including UCSF, UC Berkeley, and UC Santa Cruz.
The Helen Diller Family Foundation’s Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards is now accepting nominations for 2020!
The awards recognize up to 15 extraordinary Jewish teens annually with $36,000 each to support their ongoing social impact projects, or to further their education. We seek teens showing significant initiative and leadership in creating and leading a new initiative – or who have considerably deepened or expanded an existing project — that embodies the values of tikkun olam, repairing the world.
Projects may have any focus, from raising money, to hands-on interactions, to larger systemic-change initiatives. The work can have a local, national, or global focus benefiting the Jewish or general community. Applicants can create a new project or contribute to an established initiative if they demonstrate a current, significant leadership role in an existing organization or project.
Age 13-19 (on January 8, 2020)
Self-identify as Jewish
Resident of the United States
Volunteering without any compensation
Currently serving in a leadership role on a project/initiative aimed at repairing the world
