Our platform allows companies to seamlessly book fully-customizable, multi-vendor gatherings for their employees in just a few clicks. From smoothie stations to happy hours, team building and even the yearly holiday party, our catalog contains over 1300 experiences (and growing weekly) to support our customers’ desire for fresh and fun ideas.
We currently work with over 200 companies in NYC such as Google, Facebook, Spotify and many other startups, firms and agencies. We are looking to put together an A-player team consisting of individuals who are first and foremost great, kind humans - and then quick learners, team players and super fun to work with.
Confetti is currently hiring a full-time creative director to join their team! This role will be responsible for ensuring the content on our website is aligned with our design goals, alongside what actually happens onsite during events.
We’re looking for a design-savvy individual with a passion for scaling operations around our photography assets and overall event aesthetic. The role requires a high level of creativity and organization, along with an awareness for material and vendor sourcing, light negotiation and the ability to manage several projects at once. In this role, you’ll ensure that client expectations are met by capturing events in a visually beautiful and authentic way, and you’ll have a direct, long-term impact on the look and feel of our events - which directly translates to our customers' happiness and enjoyment.
What You’ll Do:
Source, review, and partner with vendors, artists, and photographers to ensure high quality and visually beautiful events and collateral
Provide guidance on day-of event and materials aesthetics, as well as experiential design
Orchestrate capture of and/or source high-quality photos and content surrounding Confetti events
Photograph and film day-of events as needed, and deliver edited photos
Maintain and develop a brand language consistent throughout Confetti web content
Develop style guidelines and quality standards, both internally and for our vendors and events.
Build our photography network:
Sourcing, interviewing and recruiting of photographers
Develop a scalable framework and photographic language which all photographers can follow
Review and edit work photographic work as needed
Manage photographers and photoshoots (both for events and for web content).
Work closely with Confetti’s Design Advisor on visual standards and deliverables
Keep an eye out for fresh and fun ideas, and create unique concepts for Confetti Exclusive events
Assist with and guide design-related efforts as needed (photo editing, web content, branding, newsletters, etc.)
Collaborate daily with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Proactively engage in strategic roll-outs - we are ever-changing and evolving, and as a member of our startup, your creativity will impact the long-term success of the organization
What You’ll Bring:
Experience with and passion for the arts and a preferred interest in tech and startups
3+ years’ experience as an Art Director, Designer, or similar profession
Portfolio of artistic samples and previous works
Education or Experience in the Arts (Photography, Event Design, Set Design, etc.)
Strong understanding of quality content and aesthetics
Photography and design skills including Photo Editing a bonus
Flexible schedule; some events may be scheduled before 9:00 AM or after 5:00 PM, depending on client needs
Hospitality and events experience or previous experience in tech a bonus
