NEXT GEN SUMMIT - COMMUNITY MANAGER

Part-time Position; 20+ hours per week

Start date: September 2017

Compensation: $20-30k

 

Next Gen Summit is looking for a motivated, self-starting individual to join the team in a part-time role beginning this September. This person will work directly with the Founders, and will gain experience across all divisions with a primary focus on curating, growing, and nurturing the Next Gen Summit Community.

At NGS, we aim to provide the resources young founders need to succeed - both personally and professionally - and the Community Manager will be at the forefront of this mission. You will have the opportunity to network and engage with thousands of the most talented entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors on a daily basis, while being part of a young, vibrant, and growing team.

The Community Manager ripe for success will embody (most, if not all of) the below qualities and skills:

  • Strong communicator
  • Highly personable
  • Social
  • Organized
  • Strong ability to multitask

What we don’t necessarily care as much about:

  • GPA
  • # of degrees
  • ’Resume-filling’ work experience

What exactly will our Community Manager do?

This person will curate our community (duh!) on a daily basis, connecting with members to provide the resources necessary for success. They will help plan community events across the nation, and even a few around the world. Each day will bring new experiences and opportunities to interact with uniquely talented individuals. They’ll be responsible for connecting the founders we work with to the resources we provide, including a growing network of corporate partners, incubators, accelerators, investors, and more. Our Community Manager will play a major role in continuing the growth of our community as we expand and advance over the next few months.

Can I be a full-time college student and still apply?

  • Yes! The position is not full-time, though applicants should be prepared to dedicate 20+ hours per week.

Can I work remotely?

  • Yes! This position will be solely remote to start, with future consideration for full-time employment.

Can I work on my startup while serving in this role?

  • Yes! We encourage talented individuals who are currently pursuing their own projects to apply. We ask that all folks be prepared to dedicate 20+ hours per week to this position, so please plan accordingly in advance.
